Steelcore Engineering is a newly established steel fabrication and welding business based in Brynmawr. Accredited to Execution class 4 (EN1090) allowing them to take on the more complex and higher specification work.

With support from the °¬˛ćAƬ Business Development Grant, Steelcore Engineering have purchased a CNC machine and have been able to complete new Groundworks in various areas of the land including a new access road allowing greater efficiency and safer access in and out of the factory.
Gareth Rees, Director of Steelcore Engineering said:
"With the support received from °¬˛ćAƬ Business & Innovation Team, we have been able to invest in a CNC machine and improve our site access, which will increase our capacity, accuracy and efficiency. As a new steel fabrication business, it’s a real boost allowing us to grow sustainably and create skilled jobs for local people here in °¬˛ćAƬ area."
Councillor John Morgan, Cabinet Member, Economy and Place, said:
"It is great to see that this investment has helped a new business to increased capacity, allowing them to produce more material in house. They are committed to creating local jobs for local people."
The °¬˛ćAƬ Business Development Grant is funded by UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund and managed by the Business & Innovation Team at °¬˛ćAƬ County Borough Council. The Business Development Grant is currently closed.
